As you can see from the local papers at a kiosque across the street, on the night of November 1 a British student named Meredith Kercher was killed in this house at 7 Via Pergola, not far from the center of the Umbrian capital of Perugia. Three people have been arrested for the crime, one of whom is Amanda Knox, a 20-year-old American from Seattle now known in the tabloids by her screen name, "Foxy Knoxy."
